Jacob Bogart ’18 on his Human Rights Work at Columbia Law

November 12, 2019

I’ve grown up with a deep sense of social
justice. I realized that law school was necessary to have the impact on law and
policy that I hope to have. The Public Interest Fellowship from Columbia Law
School has been an amazing opportunity. Through the Human Rights Clinic, I actually
traveled to the Central African Republic twice, speaking with victims, writing
reports, conducting advocacy. It’s extremely exciting to be a part of the
legacy of Columbia Law School. The tools that I have are uniquely powerful to
improve society.
