AFTER HE WAS ARRESTED FOR
“DISORDERLY CONDUCT” IN
FEBRUARY 2018. DENNIGAN WAS TAKEN TO THE
YORK COUNTY JAIL WHERE H
SAID HE WAS PLACED IN A CELL
ALONE – THREE OFFICERS CAME
IN, TWO PINNED HIM DOWN,
WHILE A THIRD SAT ON HIS CHEST AND PROCEED TO USE A
TASER ON HIM FOR NEARLY A
MINUTE
DENNIGAN ADMITTED HE WAS
VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE
BECAUSE HE’S DIABETIC AND HE NEEDED HIS MEDICATION. HIS LAWYER SAYS HE WILL
PROVE THE JAIL STAFF USED
EXCESSIVE FORCE AND
TORTURE IN THIS CASE.
“REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE WAS
DOING, WHAT HE WAS SAYING, HE WAS IN A JAIL CELL. HE
DIDN’T POSE A THREAT, A
PHYSICAL THREAT TO ANYONE. HE WAS IN A JAIL CELL BY
HIMSELF.”
WE ASKED SHERIFF BILL KING
IF HIS OFFICERS FOLLOWED
PROTOCOL WHEN IT COMES TO
USING A TASER. THE SHERIFF SAID HE “CANNOT COMMENT ON
ANY PENDING LITIGATION.”
THE CASE WAS FILED IN
FEDERAL COURT FRIDAY
