What is the Composition of Deer Antler Velvet?

October 14, 2019

The chemical composition of deer antler velvet
is highly complex, containing nearly 40 key compounds and 400 active ingredients: • Deer antler velvet contains proteins and
growth factors, which aid tissue growth and cell renewal. • There are glycosaminoglycans which build,
maintain and repair joint structures. • The lipids in deer antler velvet build
cell components, enhance cellular activities, and repair structural damage. • Deer antler velvet has many minerals and
trace elements, including calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, and iron. Although the ingredients in deer antler velvet
are generally known, it is believed that the combination of ingredients as a whole contributes
significantly to the efficacy of deer antler velvet. Deer antler velvet is composed of approximately:
53% proteins, 34% minerals, 3% lipids and 10% water. However, the concentration of nutrients varies
from the bottom of an antler to the top. Generally, moving from the base of the antler
toward the tip, the protein and growth factor content increases, the lipid content increases,
and the mineral and ash content decreases. Because the tips and upper parts of deer antler
velvet are rich in protein, growth factors and lipids, they are more valued due to the
higher concentration of active ingredients. The base and bottom segments, on the other
hand, have a high mineral and mineral ash content. As less effective, deficient parts of antler,
these segments are the least desired. Antler Farms uses only the best components
to produce the strongest deer antler velvet supplements. We use only the tips, upper and middle sections
in the production of our deer antler velvet capsules. By excluding the low yielding parts of antler,
Antler Farms produces a nutrient rich deer antler velvet that is superior to any other
product on the market. Antler Farms – the world’s best deer antler
